Building Hope in the City is a faith-based organization that partners with local congregations, people and communities to see the city restored to God.
The organization’s dream is to see vibrant city neighborhoods anchored by dynamic congregations, which partner with city residents and communities to fuel social, relational, economic and spiritual transformation.
Formed in August 2003, Building Hope in the City owes its birth to Trinity Lutheran Church, a thriving, 162-year-old congregation located just west of downtown Cleveland. Since 1992, Trinity has grown steadily in size and strength, serving a diverse cross-section of people from many cultures and backgrounds. The desire to share these blessings in other communities drove the formation of Building Hope in the City as a separate mission and ministry organization.
Building Hope in the City is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization.
