Church Planting and Leadership Development / Transform 216

Above is the story of one of the church plants BHITC supports – Crossroads Church in Brook Park. Watch to see the beautiful things God is doing through this new church and read below to learn more.

BHITC cultivates new and expanded approaches to urban ministry by developing emerging and indigenous faith leaders in the following ways:

  • Convening collaborations across congregations focused on mission advancement.
  • Supporting the incubation and start-up of new urban congregations and ministries.
  • Providing training and mentoring processes for future pastors and ministry catalysts through the Transform216 initiative.
  • Hosting an annual Church Leadership Summit, a citywide learning event that brings pioneering ministry initiatives and strategists to Northeast Ohio.

In 2016, BHITC launched a series called MissionSmith, which is an extension of its Transform216 initiative.  MissionSmith sessions are a series of free, half-day gatherings designed to forge the thinking and practice of metropolitan church and ministry leaders for greater effectiveness and innovation in mission, church planting and Kingdom advancement.
