Refugee mentoring has been a long-time volunteer opportunity with BHITC.  As part of it, newly arriving refugee families are paired with local citizens to help them through cultural adjustments and most importantly, build friendships.
Refugee Mentor Training is once again being offered on a monthly basis to volunteers who have completed the Refugee 101 class and are interested in serving in a highly relational setting. Note:  Dates are not posted on our website, but rather provided to interested volunteers during the Refugee 101 class.
Learn more by attending Building Hope 101, and if you’ve already done so, by attending Refugee 101 during the dates listed above or see more here!  Contact Sharon Schuldt with further questions at sharon@buildinghopeinthecity.org.
