Igniting a Kingdom Movement in Cleveland
Don Davis, Founder and Director,
The Urban Ministry Institute, World Impact
What would it take to see a Kingdom movement of new ministries, church plants and deeper, more tangible unity across Northeast Ohio? Many within the local Body of Christ have long been praying and laboring for such a day. Don Davis joins us in Cleveland to hasten its arrival. Come and be challenged and equipped by a man who knows well the art and science for multiplying urban leaders for ministry.
As founder and director of World Impact’s The Urban Ministry Institute, Davis oversees and supports 278 satellites in 18 countries, which provide seminary-level spiritual formation and education for low-income and incarcerated disciples. In addition, World Impact’s Evangel School of Urban Church Planting, which partners with more than 30 denominations, has trained and deployed nearly 150 church plant teams in the last 36 months. Cleveland will soon become one of World’s Impact’s newest partnering locales, when BHITC launches a School of Urban Church Planting this fall in partnership with World Impact.
Davis has invested his career raising up a new generation of qualified pastors and church planters who can build up Christ’s Church in America’s most vulnerable urban communities. He is a graduate of Wheaton College, Wheaton Graduate School and the University of Iowa School of Religion. Davis has also authored a number of books and study materials to equip and empower biblical leaders to serve the Church of Jesus among the poor and oppressed.
