Saturday, September 11
September 11, 2021 is the third-annual Rally CLE event where Building Hope in the City will gather residents leaders, supporting churches and neighbors to either start, partially complete, or fully complete a resident-led project. This year, we’re hoping for 15-20 resident-led projects. Past projects have included everything from community gardens to murals to block parties and so much in between! We’re open to any kind of one-day project or ongoing program that you as a resident believe will truly bless, connect, or mobilize your street, block, or our neighborhood more broadly. There are so many possibilities so feel free to think outside of the box with your neighbors!
The projects we approve promote equity in the neighborhood, connection between neighbors, and growth opportunities for you as a leader! If you have a project idea for improving your neighborhood, then this is your chance to take action! Once your project is approved and in the time leading up to the event, we will provide the implementation and planning support needed to bring the your project to life! Any resident of the Clark-Fulton and Stockyards communities is encouraged to apply. Below you’ll find our application for a project grant in English and in Spanish. Do your best to fill it out completely here (but don’t worry if you’re not able for one reason or another) and once it’s submitted, you’ll hear back from us about the next step in the selection process.
If you’re a resident of Clark-Fulton or Stockyards, find your grant application here:
Are you a church interested in sponsoring a project?
Building Hope in the City is committed to reinvesting back into the neighborhoods of Clark-Fulton and Stockyards after years of disinvestment through housing, education enrichment, and grassroots community building efforts. Thankfully, we’re not the only ones who care about this community. The more we get to know community members here, the more we realize the inherent potential of the people living, working, and worshiping here. We believe God has called us to unleash that potential by creating environments where residents are co-leading with us in determining how best to serve and love their community. That’s where Rally CLE comes in! With the help of supporting churches and activated neighbors, we can reinvest back into this community through many small-scale projects happening on the same day and in a way that catalyzes community connection, resident leadership, and mutual urban/sub-urban partnerships. Please consider sponsoring a resident-led project and being a part of the process and event with us!
